Three brothers, Mike, Peter and Jamie Hurford, formed the company in the early nineties manufacturing an innovative lighting product – the mirror reflector.

Opened by Lord John Major, at the time soon to be Prime Minister, the company was heralded for their commitment to energy conservation, a belief that is as true today. Today, eldest brother Mike Hurford, a pioneer of lighting conservation is the company Chief Executive.

In recent years Lighting Direct has experienced rapid growth and is now a significant supplier of commercial and industrial lighting to a broad range of companyies and schools in the United Kingdom. We have in depth experience of design, supply and fitting from the largest factory premises to the smaller office outlets.
